    Ambitions

These are the overall goals for each Kingdom. Only the New Beginnings Ambition is available initially. Earning a Gold or Platinum medal for completing an Ambition unlocks a new Ambition. Sometmes you need to complete two Ambitions to unlock a new Ambition.

Ambitions are completed by spending ALL of your QP, or Quest Points. A quick way to burn through QP is by starting a quest, then immediately abandoning the quest.

After you complete an Ambition, you have four choices:

    1. You can abandon the Kingdom and work on a new Ambition
    2. You can play the Free Time quest, an open-ended sandbox mode with no Quests or Responsibilities
    3. You can play Free Time with Responsibilities and no Quests
    4. You can take the Brave New World quest, which allows you to carry over one Hero into a new Kingdom with a new Ambition.

    Aspects

Every Kingdom is rated by four Aspects: Well-Being, Security, Knowledge, and Culture. A new Kingdom starts with two slots. Additional slots are unlocked by adding buildings to the Kingdom. There's a maximum of 12 slots.

Aspect slots are filled by completing Quests. If you earn more Aspect from a quest than you have available slots, the earned Aspect is lost forever.

    Focus

Focus is a measure of a Sim's overall mood and tracked by the focus meter. A green bar represents positive focus while a red bar indicates negative focus. Focus affects the outcome of tasks, personal interactions, and quests. Focus is influenced by Traits, Fatal Flaws, current events, Sim interactions, and random encounters. Always strive for a positive focus by satisfying the basic needs of the active Sim. Having a high, positive focus is crucial for getting Platinum medals for quests which means more money, experience, and rewards for completing quests.

Focus is affected by positive buffs and negative debuffs. For example, eating a meal is a Focus buff while going hungry is a Focus debuff. Eating a really delicious meal results in a higher level Focus buff. That's good. Starvation can lead to a Sim dying. That's bad.

Strive for a high positive Focus / green bar.

    Needs

Medieval Sims have two basic needs: Hunger and Energy. Drink and eat food to replenish the Hunger meter. Sleep or rest to replenish the Energy meter. Higher quality food and drink results in higher value Focus buffs. Sleeping in more expensive beds helps to replensih Energy at a faster rate.

Sims also have needs based on their Traits and Fatal Flaws. For example, an Adventerous Sim gets a Focus buff for being outside. A Sim with the Compulsive Gambler Fatal Flaw needs to spend time playing cards every day or they get a Focus debuff.

Responsibilities are daily tasks that a Sim must accomplish or else they get a Focus debuff.

Most Sims, depending on their Traits and Fatal Flaws, need to develop and maintain relationships with other Sims. You can't complete most quest tasks without having a positive relationship with other Sims. Some quests require that you become friends or lovers with other Sims. There are some instances where you need to make another Sim angry through negative interactions.

    All Sims start as Acquantices.
