If you put a Pumpkin in the Helmet slot of your Armor inventory, you'll be wearing a Pumpkin. Although it restricts your vision, Endermen won't attack you when you look at them. This is particularly useful when fighting the Ender Dragon in The End.

The title screen often plays random messages. If you delete the "Splash.txt" file the message will say "Missingno" in reference to a glitch Pokemon in Pokemon Red and Blue.

About 1 in 1,000 times, a rabbit will spawn as a hostile one, attacking players that come near. It is referred by the game as "The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog". It is based off of the Rabbit of Caerbannog from the British film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".
