"The Soviets are back"
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 was the sequel to Red Alert. So Stalin is dead. Yay! But who should take over Russia? The Allies thought "Hmmm, Alexis Romonov should be the man." So Romonov was made leader. However Romonov was a patriotic man. He was angry at what the Allies had did to Russia (they probably demilitarized it) and he vowed to take revenge. But how? Invading the strongest democratic strong hold seemed like a good idea and so he decided to rebuild and attack the USA. His adviser Yuri agreed to it since the European nations at the moment were not a threat. So now America must for it's very survivor since the Soviets have come.
Game Play 10/10: Westwood seem to have made the most difference then any other C&C game. For once the graphics are really nice and there are a lot more options to choose from. Infantry can now barricade in buildings to add defense. There are now four different tabs for building stuff (one for normal buildings, one for defense buildings, one for the infantries and one for all the tanks and ships. In skirmish mode choosing different countries also make a difference since each country has one unique building or unit that they can use only. And lastly the infantry and tanks can do more then one thing now, (for instance the GI unit can make a small bunker for added defense and fire power and Tanya can swim). The Soviets unlike the allies seem to have kept more of their old technology from the past games. So who are the countries in the game? For the Allies it's: America,Germany France, Britain, and South Korea. For the Soviets it's: Russia, Libya, Iraq, and Iran.
Music 8/10: The music in this game is better then in the Tiberium Sun. It mostly more war type of songs.
Graphics 9/10: A big improvement over the past Westwood games. A lot more colorful also (compared to Tiberium Sun).
Length 8/10: The traditional 15 missions for each side still exists so nothing has changed here. Same for the difficulty selection at the start of the game.
This game is worth getting just because of all the improvements that they have made on it. The only real not so good point about the game is that the story line is some what corny (same goes for the acting but that is to be expected).
