"Start your empire now!"

Ever since Age of Empires II came out, people have been wanting an expansion pack. Strategy gamers couldn't get enough of this amazing game. When the expansion was announced, people were very happy. But many people were skeptical, after all, what other new and interesting things can they think of? Believe me, they thought of amazing new additions. Well, here it is people, the official add-on, Age of Conquerors.

Graphics: 10/10

The visuals in this game are superb. A huge leap was taken from the original Age of Empires. Units, trees, ice, everything looks nice. Although there aren't many cg videos, when there are, they look amazing also. A little caution though, you might need a decent computer to run this game to its fullest capacity. But don't worry about it too much.

Audio: 10/10

The sounds in this game are very realistic, if not the real thing. Another thing you will notice is that each culture/empires has their own commands in their language. For example, if you are the British, they will speak English. If you are the Chinese, you will speak Chinese. The music suits the game, and is appropriate. Not being loud or anything, just in the background. All in all, this game has superb audio.

Gameplay: 10/10

Just as in the original, Age of Conquerors does not feature any big, new concepts. It does have new units, technologies, empires (such as Aztec, Mayans, Spanish and others), and of course, more campaigns. Although there is relatively little additions, you will be amazed at how much of a difference those new additions can make. Seeing one hundred units on screen battling it out to the death has never looked so good.

Replay Value: 10/10

As in most strategy games, you will find lots of replay value, including this one. First off, there is the single player mode, where you can complete the campaigns on several difficulty levels. But the most replay value you will enjoy is from the multiplayer. Up to eight of you can spend hours of fun battling each other in medieval warfare. If you can not spend hours a day playing, there are many different types of games you can play that wont take up much time but will prove to be fun.

Should I buy?

If you liked Age of Empires II, you must definitely buy this as soon as possible. No questions asked. Unless you played Age of Empires II to death and have gotten really bored of it, which I doubt many people have.
