Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords crashing after character creation. How do you fix this?
After I create my character and the intro-movie is over, my game just crashes. I can run KOTOR fine, but I cannot run KOTOR2. I already tried everything in www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194324, but it still doesn't work.

I have had similar issues and these are solutions I have found to them:
Many copies of SW:KotOR2:TSL shipped with a bad copy of Mss32.dll. There are 3rd party solutions available but none from the developers.
I had crashes routinely through both games, both during loading screens and right before movies. Disabling movies fixed this issue completely. I would suggest that you try to disable movies and see if that helps.
KotOR had issues with newer graphics cards. it is possible that KotOR2 has developed the same issue.
Under Graphics options try adding "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1".
You could also try running in windowed mode as KotOR2 crashed occasionally when I was running in full screen.
Are you certain that you are running SW:KotOR2? at the top of your post it says SW:KotOR. However the install path is correct for the KotOR2, but it can't hurt to make sure your executable is correct and you did not accidentally install the first game over the second.
In addition, from the install path it looks like you are running Windows 7 64 bit. This can have a rather large effect on solutions available and how effective they are.
Last but not least, Re-installing may fix your problem as some files may have been corrupted as they were copied off of the CD-Rom drive onto your HDD.
I might be able to give more support if you post why you are being given warnings.

Okay, maybe I'm a little late but I have some advice for anyone who might be asking this in the future.
Before you do any of that, disable frame buffer effects and V-sync in the settings and see if it works, it did the trick for me and movies worked just fine.
This will also work for Kotor I, seeing as they're running practically the same engine.
Side note: I've heard people who're angry at Obsidian for not fixing these issues, but I'm going to play devils advocate for a moment. The original game was made by Bioware as a lot of people may know, and the engine is there property, so due to stupid corporate issues, Obsidian isn't legally allowed to go and patch these things, making it increasingly difficult to get the two games to work on newer operating systems.
However there's a solution to fix almost all of the bugs with game, The restoration mod for Kotor II (hate to advertise but I would recommend it to anyone). It'll work wonders and fully add back content Obsidian wasn't able to complete before their deadline. If your on steam, download it from there, it's the most popular thing on the workshop.
That's all I have to say, good luck to everyone out there, and have fun!
