Does Lethality affect Piercing Weapons?

  1. In other words, if you get lethality, does a dagger's piercing weapon do Dex damage, or Dex AND Cunning damage?

  1. All melee weapons, including daggers, have their damage increased by STR. From many reports currently out, DEX is bugged and is not increasing damage done by piercing weapons. Hopefully this will be officially addressed soon.

The idea here is that daggers have a naturally lower damage range than all other weapons (swords/axes/maces). So it was designed that both STR and DEX would increase dagger damage as the balancing factor.

Lethality causes CUN to replace STR as the damage bonus. Since the damage bonus from STR effects all melee damage, including daggers, Lethality does increase piercing damage done. The idea being, a rogue with Lethality can gain the same damage bonus from DEX and CUN as they would from DEX and STR. This way the rogue can opt to stop putting points into STR around 20 (which is just high enough to equip the best light armors) and change their focus to other stats.

As new patches are released be sure to read the notes, hopefully the reported DEX bug is addressed.

  1. I believe that only does DEX damage, since dexterity is the main requisite for the abitlity, and Zevran does always bigger damage from it and so far I only raised his dex and str... try out w/ cunning, maybe U get good result...
