How do I change how many turns are in a year?

  1. And how fast my Family Members age?

I'd like to change it to 12 turns per year and year aged.

Also is there any way to change which year gunpowder and ships become available?

    Thanks for the explanation Floyd.

I understand it now after some experimentation.

The number of the year has no connection to the rate Family Members age.

I don't even know why I was trying to tie them together now.

OK I am going to put this in simple terms

vanilla is game play has 2.00 e1 thinks that means exactly 2 years but it can't bcz then it would be winter every turn or summer every turn .....

ok game time and character aging

2.00 in game play character ages 1/2 yr
1.00 in game play character ages 1/2 yr
.50 in game play character still ages 1/2 yr
.25 in game play character still ages 1/2 yr

So is it sinking in yet ? you are only aging 6 months per turn as it is you are complaining about some thing that is the opposite of most others .....

The reason I ever made a 1yr aging script was ppl were mad bcz the characters were living forever so 1 of the 1st mods I ever made for this game was a 1yr aging script that was added to the end of campaign_script and a modded descr_strat that made both = 1 yr per turn but that made all events even take longer and in this game most of the time game over before you reach best units so it was not that good
