These are the official minimum specs (although no hard-drive requirement space has been given, it's apparently approximately 30GB)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0GHz or better
Windows XP or later
Windows XP: 1.5GB RAM
Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB RAM
Note: PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB of RAM.
Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better. Examples include:
ATI X1800 or better
nVidia 7800 or better
Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better
DVD-ROM drive - 8x speed or better (required for installation from physical editions only)
Internet connection required to play.

The official specs are misleading my specs get around 12 fps on lowest possible graphics and they exceed the minimums
AMD64 5600+ 2.8ghz dual core
Radeon HD 5450 1gb
Windows 7 Pro 32bit
Even overclocking my gpu and freeing up as much resources as possible the game runs like utter crap. Which is a common complaint among most users with mid grade machines that exceed the minimums. Players who barely meet or exceed the minimums find the game unplayable even in empty zones. Unless you have a 3ghz+ dualc ore or better and 8gb ram and a top end SLI/Crossfired GPU don't expect to play this game at anything but lowest graphics or have it be playable.
I stopped 1 month in because of the epicly long loading screens and low fps
