When D was announced for the PlayStation, about 100,000 preorders were made. However, Sony stated they were giving other games top priority, and stated only about 40,000 copies would be printed. In the end, however, only about 28,000 copies of D were printed for the PlayStation. Kenji Eno, creator of D, was very angry, and in retaliation, proceeded to show off footage of their next game, Enemy Zero, at a Sony sponsored video game event, and then announced that it would be exclusive to the Saturn.
