"If you like racing and excitement, this game's for you"

For those who think this game is the same from the past Test Drive games, you'll be pretty surprised how different it is. With great gameplay and incredible graphics, this is one of the coolest racing games in the playstation 2 thus far.

Graphics- One word... excellent. The shiny cars look awesome almost like gran turismo 3.The cities look really nice and look like the real thing. The game moves at 60 fps, so its looks wonderfully lifelike. The only problem with the graphics is that on night races, and theres plenty of them, you can barely see anything unless you adjust your TV. 9 out of 10

Replay Value- Test Drive gives you huge replay value with about 25 linear and 15 circuit tracks. It also has cop chase mode and drag race. The main course of the game is Underground. In underground, your participating in a racing tournament that spans 4 cities, San Francisco, Tokyo, London, and Monte Carlo. In underground you must place on the top three on all races in order to advance. You must play this mode to unlock new cars and tracks. 10 out of 10

Sound- The recent Test Drive games always had great music since hiring bands such as Fear Factory and Junkie XL. Well this Test Drive game makes it a lot better. While racing, you'll be hearing songs from Moby, Saliva, Ja Rule, DMX, Bubba Sparxxx, Curd, Junkie XL, and many more. Simply amazing. Oh yeah the sound effects are good too, but who cares just listen to the music. 10 out of 10

Gameplay- The simple and easy controls make the gameplay in Test Drive great, but the fabled rubber band AI is back. Hate it or love it its in Test Drive. Rubber band AI means the computer will always stick with you the entire race. It doesn't matter how fast or slow you car is you still have a chance to be first or last. So no matter how many times you crash in the game the computer will give you a chance to catch up. The good thing about Rubber band AI is that it makes the game more exciting. All cars stick together almost the entire race means it wouldn't be boring like in Test Drive 4, where your pretty much by yourself the entire race. 7 out of 10

Conclusion- As I said if you like racing games and excitement, you should get this game. If you like driving simulation games may I suggest renting it first before buying it. It may be too ''arcadey'' for some.
I personally enjoyed this game a whole lot. The only thing I didn't like about this game is they forgot to put my city. Wheres New York City? I guess we have to wait for the sequel...
