"A Descent Game"
This was a pretty good game. The multiplayer will keep you occupied for a while afyter you have finished the singleplayer mode. In campaign mode there are the levels from Island thunder and Jungle Storm, so some people will only have a few new levels to do. Another cool feature is to give orders to your teamates using the microphone.
In the game there are two teams: Alpha and Bravo. You control one of the teams and can tell the other team what to do with the command map. The controls are a little hard to figure out at first, but you soon get used to it. Everytime you beat a campaign mission you unlock a new map in multiplayer which is very fun. There are a few classes to chose from in the game: Riflemen, Support, Demolition, and Snipers. The game can get difficult at times and you will rarely beat a level in the first try. If a soldier survives a mission you will be given points to upgrade his stats like stealth, endurance Ect. Overall this game has good gameplay.
This is the biggest letdown in the game. From far off the enemies look one demensional. The smoke effects are pretty good, but the grenade blast radius is ridiculusly small. The bullets look realistic. The few vehicles you will see in the game look bad. The character models aren't to good either. The rockets look pretty good and realistic.
The music is good in the game. The voice overs are good and easy to understand. The gunfire and explosions sound good. Overall good sound for this game.
There are tons of levels to unlock from campaign mode to use in the very fun multiplayer mode. The online option for this game is also very fun.
Rent or Buy?
I say rent if you're not used to tactical shooters like this. If you are a ghost recon fan then you should buy it.
Good sound, replayability, and gameplay make a descent game that tactical shooter fans will like. It is a lot like previous Ghost Recons so you may be dissapointed with the lack of change.
