"He IS Batman!"

Introduction -
Batman is back! Capturing the Joker and taking him to Arkham Asylum only to fall into his trap.

Story (9/10)

Batman: Arkham Asylum is completely new with a new story. Batman captures the Joker and takes him to Arkham Asylum but he falls into Joker's trap. He releases all the prisoners and all hell breaks loose! You are now on a mission to stop the Joker once and for all from taking over Gotham City but he has lots of surprises for you along the way. The story is reasonably long but not short. It would take around 10 hours to complete without doing the Riddler's challenges.

Graphics (10/10)

The detail on Joker's face is just flawless. All characters are filled with detail and look beautiful. The asylum is polished very much making it very realistic as if you were really in the asylum. The character designs are out of this world, they have completely re-done characters such as Harley Quinn, Killer Croc and Poison Ivy and I must say they are looks absolutely fab. The only minor is that most characters look buffed up.

Sound/Voice Acting (10/10)

Perfect! We have the original voice for Joker and Batman. Mark Hamill's laugh is legendary in-game. The music is fitted into the certain moods throughout the game. The sound effects sound real. The voice acting is just amazing, nothing cheesy in it, the script is very well done.

Gameplay (10/10)

The game consists of two modes basically. The free-flow combat and the stealth system. The combat is very smooth and when Batman counter-attacks it just looks beautiful, he doesn't miss although sometimes when the slow motion camera appears the attack can look dodgy. The buttons are simply but what you get out of it seems like you are doing massive combos. The stealth is amazing, you can plan to attack. You can glide kick, inverted takedown, silent takedown, blow up a wall etc! Gameplay is smooth too, it never went jumpy at all during my gameplay and everything fits in place.

PS3 Exclusive - Joker Content

The Joker is playable in the challenge maps. There are 8 challenge maps to complete, 4 combat ones and 4 predator ones. The Joker is nothing like Batman, he has his own fighting style and moves. In the predator challenges he has explosive chattering teeth, a gun with one bullet, and x-ray specs.

This is an amazing game and a must-buy if you are a Batman fan. If your not I highly recommend it because it won't let you down.

Overall - 10/10
