In addition to a heavy-hitting setlist, Scratch: The Ultimate DJ features an array of customizable DJ personalities, each with their own unique style and attitude, and distinctive urban environments, including 12 unique venues varying from homemade garage set-ups to million-dollar mansions. Players can put their own spin on tracks with "battle record" samples, including cartoon noises and power tool sounds, and also use a USB microphone to record their own samples. Additionally, Scratch Blocks allow players to earn points for creativity and scratch tricks such as the "One Click Flare" or "Crab Grab."
