A new way to "Live by the creed; or die by the sword"

The Assassin's Creed franchise managed to grab the attention of a huge audience. The story is deep, well thought out and intriguing. Assassin's Creed 2 has much more to offer than its first title. You can now buy armor and new weapons. Also, you now have your own villa, in which if you buy renovations and decorations, your villa's value will increase, meaning the income you receive will increase. And yes, there is now money involved in the game. And best of all, you can now swim, which was not possible in the first game. Assassin's Creed 2 made a huge leap of faith from the first title, which is a big plus for fans. The game features Ezio Auditore da Firenze as the main character of the story. Ezio, driven by revenge, seeks out the people responsible and along the way, learns that his vengeful goal is nothing compared to the true intentions of his targets. Ezio Auditore da Firenze will learn that "The truth is written in blood".

First glance:
Assassin's Creed 2 looks amazing; from the box art, to the title screen. Right away, there are huge, more appealing differences from the first title. There are now trophies included, which is a big plus.

The graphics are noticeably better, and the game runs smoother. This game has great style and the remake of the Renaissance is flawless. 10/10

Music sets the mood well. Multiple voice tracks is a definite plus; meaning you can play the game in different languages, even Italian! Subtitles are now available, which seems to be hard to find in new games today. Subtitles are important, especially if someone in your family is crazy loud... 10/10

Free-running in cities is now smoother, and faster, and better. Combat seems to be a lot better as well. 10/10

Wow, my first game without complaints. This game is amazing, I really do not have any complaints. Unless, I'm just forgetting something. Even if there was something negative about the game, it didn't hinder any of my progress, or I didn't notice it, which is a good thing.

Replay Value:
First of all, there are feathers, which replaced the (pain in the ass) flags from the first title. There are 100 of them total, throughout the game. They can be easily found, so do not fret. Codex pages are also one of the collectibles, which reveal important things about the story of the game, Altair and Subject 16. And most of all (one that I cannot forget) the MOST IMPORTANT side quest is the glyphs. These are hidden symbols found in certain buildings across Italy. Each glyph has a puzzle that you must solve once solved, it will give you a snippet of a video that reveals "The Truth". There are 20 in total and once you unlock them get to see the full video. The side quests in the game have meaning, so it forces you to do them. But again, they're "side quests" so they aren't necessarily part of the main storyline; but in this game, it's certainly worth it. Meaningful, and non-repetitive side quests seem to be hard to find these days...

Final Verdict:
Assassin's Creed 2 is flawless. Developers listened and delivered. If you are a fan of the series, a complete, must-buy. If you are new to the game, it will not disappoint. This game is well worth your time and money.
