What's the easiest way to tell that you've gotten all the heart tanks?

  1. The best way is to go to the Save Screen and wait (meaning don't save, just stay there). Look at your savefile. It will list the difficulty you're on, the subtanks and the heart tanks you have gotten.

  3. There is an easy way to keep track of your heart tanks without checking your save file. Your health bar increases by two units every time you obtain a heart upgrade. If your health bar is equal to your weapon bar, then that means you only have 6 out of 8 of the heart tanks in the game. So when you have all of them, your health bar should be 4 units larger than your weapon bar.
