"A SUPER great way to launch the SNES"

I had to write this review cause I just got this game. I never played this game at SNES launch. I don't know. I didn't like SMB2 a whole lot, so I was scared of this game. So I one day had this talk with my friend. He said he will trade me one of his games for one of my games. So I gave him Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, and he said he had a game called Super Mario World to give to me. So I was like, well now that I got it, better play it. So I played it, seemed stupid at first, but when I got used to it, I was surpassed.

Graphics-10/10. For sure, these graphics look excellent for the SNES being new. I know that Nintendo took time in making it, instead rushing it like they did Mario 64. These graphics look like something from a 1995 SNES game.

Sound-10/10. Like the graphics, these sounds are super excellent. I remember the back ground music in outside areas were so cool. Plus when you got on Yoshi, this drum beat was added to the music. The sound effects were cool too. The only sound effect I dislike is when you scroll the screen back and fourth(pushing the L or R button).

GamePlay-9/10. The gameplay is excellent. There was a new character in the game besides Luigi. This green dinosaur named Yoshi. He hatches from eggs sometimes when you hit a coin block. Then you can ride him and he can swallow the enemies in front of you. Also his jump acts like Mario's spin jump move. The bad point is, that it plays kinda like the original, but with new features in stuff it is SO fun to play. Don't take that 1 point for granite.

Story-8/10. This is like the typical Mario games. The princess gets kidnapped, and Bowser steals her. So, what does Mario and Luigi gotta do?? SAVE HER. Except this time, he didn't go to his castle again. This time he went to a place called Dinosaur land, and built a new castle there. You won't find a whole lot of story in the game, but near the end the story gets cool again.

Replay-10/10. If you don't have this game, get it. I didn't say rent it, I said GET IT. I can assure you will not be disappointed. Note this game is real old, so buying it won't be so pricey, so go out and find it and good luck on BUYING, not renting, this superb game.
