For every chapter, there is a total of three Phozon Skills. Two of them is found within the chapter, one of them is found as you progress and the other is located in a hidden location. The game does provide a vague hint on where to find them, just use the map above as a reference. The third Phozon skill is obtained when you cleared the chapter. When you obtained the first Phozon Skill, you can use it by opening the skill menu (L1 Button) or assign it to a shortcut by pressing square.

    Mid-Boss : Unicorn Knight

    List of Attacks

    • Downward Thrust (Creates a shockwave)
    • Jump Attack
    • Charge, (The Unicorn Knight will charge directly at you, there is a super version where the Unicorn Knight will run across the map three times)
    • Tornado (The Unicorn Knight creates a gust that hits both sides, the first wind will hit high and the second hit low)
    Overview
All Boss type characters in Odin Sphere has two Life Bars. The Pink Life bar on the top display its overall health, each time you completely deplete the yellow life bar it will remove a segment of the Pink Life Bar. Some bosses can change attack patterns based on the current segment of their health bar. Anyways the Unicorn Knight is quite simple, it has two unique attacks, one of them is when it jump up in the air trying to do a downward impaling motion. if it starts a dashing motion, the Unicorn Knight will charge directly at you, you can dodge this attack by jumping over the Knight. When the boss loses 50% of its health, a group of faeries will come and aid him. Overall this boss is simple and easy due to its low level, as you get further in the game, you will encounter stronger variations of this boss.

    Boss: Raging Dragon Belial

    List of Attacks

    • Spits out a chunk of debris (The debris can be knocked back to the boss, causing it to stun.)
    • Burrow (Belial will burrow under the sand and will come up to hit you)
    • Inhale (Belial will inhale a long breath to swallow you and other debris in the way)
    • Tail Slam (Belial will swing it's tail at you, and also causing a small shockwave)
    Overview
Belial is the first boss you encounter, and even though it looks imitating, Belial is one of the easiest bosses of the entire game. The main key is to get behind Belial and unleash all your attacks at it. An easy way to get behind Belial, is by using the skill, Beak Dive, as it lets you go right through Belial. If you miss the Beak Dive ability, then you can easily get behind Belial by double jumping over him. Another thing about this fight is that you can hit the debris Belial shoot out, if the Debris hits Belial, it will make him Dizzy. The only thing you need to watch out for is when Belial inhales a deep breath, trying to pull you into his mouth, just keep running to avoid getting suck in. Overall, this fight is easy, especially if you take advantage of attacking Belial's back.

    • Spew Poison (Manticore will use its tail to shoot poison)
    • Hidden Mouth (The Manticore will open another mouth to hit you)
    • Tail Smash
    Overview
Similar to the Unicorn Knight boss fight. Most of the attacks from the Manticore are similar, if you stay far from it, the Manticore will unleash some poisonous projectiles at you. When you get close to it, it might hit you with it's hidden mouth. The boss usually will pause for a second before it will unleash its attack, giving you enough time to evade from it.

    Mid Boss: Alarune

    List of Attacks

    • Head Bite
    • Head Spin
    • Pollen
    Overview
These are new mini bosses added for the remaster version of Odin Sphere. New mini boss has a different background music. Alarune has a slight delay before it unleashes its attack. The pattern is sort of unpredictable, you don't really don't know if it is trying to spin its head or trying to bite you. When Alarune tilt its head backward, it usually a sign that it's about to unleash its attack. If you deal enough damage to Alarune, its head will fall off, preventing it from using some of its skill until its head regrow. When the boss is down to the last phase of health, it will shoot pollen that will become monsters when it lands on the ground.

    Boss: Velvet

    List of Attacks

    • Use item (Velvet will use one of the three items, Heal, Blaze, and Cyclone)
    • Twin Tornado (Velvet will create two tornadoes for both directions)
    • Explosion (Velvet will unleash an explosion, hitting anything near her.)
    • Dancing Chain
    • Spiral Drive (Velvet will charge directly at you with her chains locked in front)
    • Fire Pillar (Velvet will a pillar of Fire
    Overview
Velvet has a major difficulty leap compared to the previously bosses you faced, especially if you're playing on Hard mode. Velvet has many sets of attacks, most of her stronger attack will make her glow for a split second before she unleash it. These attacks can be her Explosion spell or her chain attacks. Usually when you see her glow, evade and get away from her or have your guard button ready. Because she is one of the few human type bosses, she can be knocked back when enough damage is dealt to her. Sometimes Velvet will jump up and swing at you, if you guard against this attack, it will cause her to stun. Overall just focus on getting behind her and attack, if you see her, glow immediately run. When Velvet has only a tiny bit of health left, she will try to use a recover item, attack her and prevent her from using her items.

In this chapter you will encounter the traveling Chef, Maury. Maury can cook recipes for you if you bring him the right ingredients. You will also need to find the recipe as well. This is the fastest way to level your base level. A method of getting the maximum base exp is to consume Yogurt and then eat the recipes. There is also a trophy for eating all recipes three times. A way of keeping track of the recipes you have eaten is to look at the Red Exclamation Mark on the Bonus, when the bonus is gone, that means you have eaten the recipe three times (Only works for a single character).

    Mid Boss: Frost Ben

    List of Attacks

    • Punch
    • Hand Clap (Frost Ben will clap its hands trying to squeeze you)
    • Roll (Frost Ben will transform into a ball, rolling across several screens.)
    • Ice Breath (Frost Ben will breath out a breath of ice that covers the whole screen.)
    • Summon Ice Spirits (Frost Ben will create Ice Spirits out of its mouth)
    • Ground Pound (Frost Ben will jump on the air and will land with a ground attack. Does it multiple times)
    Overview
Frost Ben is one of the more annoying boss fights you can encounter. To hurt them, you need to hit the tiny horn on their head. If you have picked up the High Thrust skill from the bottom section of Winterhorn Ridge, it will work wondrously on this boss fight. Also, you can use items such as Blaze or Toxic Cloud, they can deal a ton of damage to the boss if the boss remains in its static position. A highly recommended thing to do is attack the trolls that reside on the top of Frost Ben, they will throw snow balls constantly at you, and if you do enough damage to them they will fall on to the ground, letting you finish them off. These trolls do not respawn, so kill them if you have the opportunity. In harder difficulty modes, the boss has a habit of spamming it's roll or ground pound attack, which can be easily dodged with the evade button or the guard option.

    Mid Boss: Bugbear

    List of Attacks

    • Claw Swipe
    • Claw Sweep combo (Bugbear will use it's Claw Sweep several times)
    • Under Claw (Bugbear will stick it's claws through the ground and will appear at you)
    • Howl (Bugbear will howl, hurting you if come close.)
    • Eclipse (Bugbear emits an aura that drains your HP when you approach it.)
    • Chase (Bugbear will chase after you for several screens)
    • Summon Ice Spirits
    Overview
Bugbear is perhaps the easiest mid boss you will encounter in the game. It has a sluggish movement which makes it easy to dodge any of its attacks. The boss usually will howl a bit before it performs any of its attacks. The only thing you might need to watch out for will be the Under Claw, where it digs its hand to the ground and come out of nowhere to hit you. Another thing the boss might do is chase after you, you can easily evade the boss by dodging the opposite direction and repeat. Other than that, just focus on hitting it, and after a combo or so move back in case if it retaliates.

    Boss: General Brigan

    List of Attacks

    • Hammer Attack
    • Throw Hammer
    • Jump (Brigan will jump multiple times in the air, causing a shock wave when he lands.)
    • Ground Smash (Brigan will slam the ground with his legs causing a small shock wave)
    • Wine (Brigan will spray you with wine, or he will drink it and breath out flames)
    • Summon Valkyries (Brigan will call out Valkyries, that will refill his wine or repair his shields.)
    Overview
General Brigan was a really tough boss in Classic Odin Sphere, with all the new abilities you get in this remaster, Brigan is actually very easy. Brigan has four shields attached to his chest which will deflect all damage. Using multiple hit skills such as Needle Strike will be the fastest way to remove them. When the shields is all gone, you can deal actual damage to Brigan. After a while, he will call out Valkyries to reattach another shield or refill his wine, kill the Valkyries or knock them before they can help Brigan. Most of Brigan's ground attack are really slow, you can kind of see it coming, when he grunts or change his position. Overall, Brigan acts more like mid boss than a full boss with his slow pattern of attacks.

    Valkyrie: Chapter 4

As soon as you gain control over Gwendolyn, you can access the Pooka Village. By going to the blue portal near the castle exit. The Pooka here will sell you almost all the ingredients you can find in the game. You can also go to the Pooka Kitchen on the left and the Pooka Cafe on the right. These places allow you to exchange Valentine Currency for cooked recipes. This is also a quick way of boosting your base level.

If you have a ton of money to spare and mange to make a Level 9 Naturalize potion (Material + Seed) , you can also use this method for converting your money into Phozons.

    Mid Boss: Berserker

    List of Attacks

    • Slash
    • Axe Throw (Berserker will throw an axe in an arch pattern, can also throw multiple axes)
    • Shockwave (Berserker will create a shockwave by throwing an axe super fast)
    • Warcry
    • Charge
    Overview
One of the most basic mini boss. It similar to the Unicorn Knight that was found on the first chapter, except it has stronger range attacks, while it's melee attacks are slightly inferior. Just use the most basic strategy of attacking the boss from behind.

    Mid Boss: Dwarven Battleship

    List of attacks

    • Electric Barrier
    • Flame Battier
    • Summon Berserker
    • Homing Missile
    • Bombs
    Overview
The Dwarven Battleship is one of the most annoying bosses you will ever face. You will need to jump on the ship and destroy the balloons to defeat the boss. When you clear the first phase, the bosses will call out a Beserker. You will need to defeat the Berserker in order to hurt the main boss. During this phase, the ship will move around a lot, and with surround itself with a nasty flame barrier, if you want to remove to the barrier, you will need to kill the dwarf that is operating the shield at the ship's center. Overall this fight has so much going on, its hard to focus on the main situation. From a non stop barrage of dwarfs throwing bombs at you or the ship constantly shooting missiles nonstop. It is highly recommended you use attack items on this ship for how annoying

    Boss: Odin

    List of Attacks

    • Punch
    • Charge
    • Three Punch Combo
    • Ground Smash
    • Spread Shot (Odin will shot beams in a spread out pattern)
    • Balor (Odin will use his Balor, (A giant mace cypher), will throw it in a straight line or as a bouncing ball)
    Overview
Odin can be a devastating boss if you are impatient with him. Odin's attack are sluggish and somewhat predictable, however they hit extremely hard and can be fatal from a slight mistake. Try to focus on attacking Odin from the rear. If you see Odin glow for a split second, he will either use his three punch combo, or charge at you, have guard ready when that happens to avoid taking damage. When you clear out one of Odin's life bar, you can juggle him in mid air with your aerial combos which can take out a lot of his health without having to deal with his attacks. When Odin loses more then half of it's life, he will start to use his Balor, a giant mace that requires a bit of start up before he use it, if your near him, he will usually throw it in a straight line, the damage from it will most likely kill you instantly if playing on Hard mode. If your are far away, then Odin will launch it as a bouncing ball.

    List of Attacks

    • Flame Slash
    • Fire Ball
    • Fire Pillar (Vulcan will impale the ground, causing a fire eruption.)
    • Call Monsters
    Overview
Vulcan is a humanoid mid boss, its a small target compared to the previous mid bosses. Vulcan is mostly airborne, so you will need to hit it with aerial combos. Vulcan is not a really aggressive boss, it usually would attack and would be idle for a bit. When the Vulcan attacks, it will swing its sword in an arc pattern, another attack is when Vulcan impales the ground, which will cause a pillar of fire erupting with spaces inbetween. When you have removed the first bar of health , Vulcan will blow a horn to call out monsters. Overall this fight is not too difficult one.

    Mid Boss: Phoenix Rider

    List of Attacks

    • Spear swing
    • Fire Ball
    • Charge
    • Ground Smash (The Phoenix Rider will smash the ground, creating a lava eruption shortly after.)
    • Flame Tornado (Shoots out a yellow tornado)
    • Phoenix Charge (The Phoenix Rider will transform into a Phoenix, and will charge at you multiple times.)
    Overview
The Phoenix Rider is a very annoying boss that can be brutal for players that are impatient with it. Most of the Phoenix Rider attacks can do high amount of damage, usually the boss would flash when it does its more powerful attack. If the Phoenix Rider breaks the ground, it will cause a lava eruption, run a long distance away from it, as the debris can you. When you manage to get to the last phase of health. There is a high chance of it transforming into a phoenix, this attack is extremely annoying, as it can deal a lot of damage, and the boss won't stop using it until it goes through multiple cycles. This attack is hard to block, as it can easily hit you from the opposite direction. Try to dodge it instead.

    Leventhan

    List of Attacks

    • Headbutt
    • Tackle
    • Beam (Shoot small rays out it's mouth)
    • Explosion (Shoots a fireball that creates giant explosion)
    • Mega Beam(Shoot out a giant laser out of it's mouth)
    Overview
Leventhan is a very tiny boss, that doesn't mean it's a total pushover. In fact it's one of it the most durable boss, making this boss an extremely long fight. The boss is also a small target, which makes items hard to use against this boss. Usually the best thing to do is attack it from behind. Since most the breath attacks are directed in front of Leventhan. When the boss has lost at least two bar of health, it will start to use it's explosion attack or it's mega beam, these breath attacks are fatal, especially the explosion, as it does massive damage and can come without warning.

    List of Attacks

    • Mushroom Form

      Headbutt, Poison Gas
    • Giant Form
      - Punch, Roll, Poison Gas, Vine Smash (Smashes the ground, creating spike vines)
    • Humanoid Form
      - Uppercut, Kick, Poison Spores
    Overview
The Myconid is a boss with three different forms. It will usually start with it's easiest form which is the mushroom form. The mushroom is pretty easy to dealt with, it only does a regular headbutt, which can be easily avoided, as the boss most likely do it from a counterattack during it's defensive stance. If it decides to use poison gas, guard it or get away from the poisonous area. Once you have remove the first phase of health, the boss will transform into it's giant form. When you are using other characters to fight this boss, the forms might come in different order. The giant form is the most deadly form, as it's attack can deal massive damage, and all of it's attack can cover a lot of space. Since it's a big target, using items such as Blaze will wondrous on the boss. When the boss reach to the last bar of health, it's also the fastest form, which makes most of it's attack the hardest to dodge.

    Mid Boss: Unicorn Knight x2

    Overview
This is the first Trial Stage for Gwendolyn. In this stage you will be facing two high level Unicorn Knights. This is a very difficult stage and clearing it will only give you a Miracle Fruit S in return. Miracke Fruits doesn't have any unique porperties, they're just a very expensive item, which can be used to restore a lot of HP or give a good amount of EXP. If you do not think you can clear this stage, you can skip it as well, as it doesn't yield anything. But for those that like a challenge, fighting against two Unicorn Knights is a complete game changer. Start by killing the faeries first, as they have the ability to heal the knights. Then focus on the boss, one thing you should watch for is the Unicorn Knight doing it's mega charge attack, it will around the map three times, and getting hit by it will be fatal, especially when you're distracted fighting one knight. A good way of keeping track of all the chaos going on is to look at the mini map on the top, which covers a higher point of view. At this point, Gwendolyn should also have Freeze Lance, which is super effectivel for this battle. You can use to immobilized the boss. If you plan on using items, you can use Freeze Lance, to freeze the boss and toss Killer Cloud or Whirlwind.

The boss doesn't have too many attacks, most of the time, it surround itself with bone objects, that can be used to cover your attacks or throw them at you. You can easily hit it with non stop combos. If you use items for this fight, Blaze works great, as it will inflict a ton of damage and also inflicting the burn status. Some players also use this boss as a method to farm phozons, when the boss summons a ton of bone object, you can use Drain (Material + Seed x2) to convert all the objects into phozons.

    List of Attacks

    • Scythe (Halja will summon some ghosts in front, and then start slicing them)
    • Summon Spectre

    • Blue Flame (Shoot blue fireballs out of it's fist)
    • Ghost Wall (Summon a giant white object that acts a wall)
    Overview
Halja is actually a mid boss with a ton of attacks, it not hard to dodge most of the attacks, as it usually gives out a big warning before doing any of them. For example his scythe move, witll usually happen after summoning ghosts in front of it, and then he will starting slicing them. Or his shield skill, he usually will flash when you hit him during this stance, this mean it will counterattack you with it's dust skill. You can easily guard this, as soon as the boss flash. Overall this boss fight is a lot easier compared to the other mini boss, just be a little more patient with it instead of being pure aggressive.

Mid Boss: Halja (Trial Stage Version)

    Overview
Same as the regular Halja fight, except your fighting in a pitch black atomsphere. You will need to use the item Shine if you want to see cleary in this stage. A good way of keeping track of the Halja, is to use the map on the bottom right corner. The big red triangle is where the Halja is located. Overall this fight can be a little chaotic, when you don't know where the attacks are coming from. Clearing this stage wll give you the Icebreaker Phozon skill for Gwendolyn.

    Final Boss: Odette

    List of Attacks

    • Lantern (Will shoot out blue fire balls or an explosion attack)
    • Summon Ghost
    • Spike Wall (Create wall of spikes in front of her)

    Overview
The final boss of Gwendolyn's scenario. Odette isn't really aggressive until her second phase. In the first phase, she mostly will just shoot you with fire balls and then warp to another direction. Sometimes when she gets defensive, she will create a spike wall, which can hurt you qutie a bit. Usually she will tilt back a tiny bit when she unleash that attack. When you took out two of her life bars, she will transform into a spider. You can attack her by going under her. Just be careful of her spider legs, and she will also charge at you when she pauses. When you defeated the spider form, she will go back to a pattern similar to the first phase. Except she is way more aggressive, she will put her lantern on bone hand, letting it shoot fire balls at you from different directions, and will also start attacking you with it's scythe. A move you should watch out for, is when she teleports, her spider form will come and hit you from all different directions. This attack is fatal, and should be guarded or dodge immediately. Overall Odette is a boss that starts out fairly easy that becomes difficult at the last phase.

Walkthrough Part 2: Pooka Prince (Cornelius)

After watching Gwendolyn's ending, you will return to the Attic room. Open the next book in line to play Cornelius' story. Watch through the story sequence, when you gain control over Cornelius, you will be brief in a tutorial on how to use Cornelius. Using a new character for the first time will take a little time to adjust, you might feel a slight withdrawal and want to go back to the previous character. Don't worry, by the end, you will find each character is just as fun to use as the previous one. Cornelius is the fastest character in the game, and also the smallest character. His attacks involve mostly spin attacks, knockbacks, and stun, you will find Cornelius to be a complete powerhouse for end game.

    Overview
Odette will be the first boss for Cornelius. Since Odette is the first boss, Odette has been massively nerfed compared to her final boss counterpart. Odette's fire balls are less frequent, and also all of her attacks are much slower. Odette will still use her stronger attacks at her last phase of health, this includes the giant scythe/

    Overview
General Brigan will be one of the earliest bosses you fight as Cornelius, which makes him even easier than Gwendolyn's counterpart. The fastest way of breaking the shields on Brigan's chest, is to use multiple hit skills such as Spiral Drive and Whirling Blade. If you manage to get all his shields removed, kill the reinforcements too, an easy way of preventing the reinforcement to recover Brigan is to use Stun Bolt which can stun of all them with low PP cost.

    Mid Boss: Bugbear x2

    Overview
Another trial stage, this is actually one of easier Trials, but it not a simple pushover. Fighting two Bugbears is still a difficult situation to deal with since the other Bugbear can cover the other Bugbear. Focus on dealing with one Bugbear at a time, by luring one of them away. You can fight two of them at the same position, but it can extremely risky as it's way more difficult to dodge it's attacks. If you decide to use items against this boss, try to us Blaze or Whirlwind on them, they work really well and can deplete their health really fast.

    Boss: Wagner

    List of Attacks

    • Bite
    • Tail Smash
    • Dive
    • Storm (Wagner will flap it's wings, creating a tornado along with Ice Spirits.)
    • Fire Breath (Wagner will breath out flames and also creates Fire Spirits)
    Overview
Wagner is a very easy boss at the start. This is simply because his attacks can be seen coming from far away. The mini map is great indicator of what he's gonna do. His dive attack be easily dodge by jumping on top of him, or simply push the dodge button. The main scary part about this boss is the second phase when you removed the first bar of health. Wagner will start to create a storm, during this part, Ice Spirits will come out of nowhere, which can be fatal when playing in Hard mode, touching them can hurt a lot. You can try to guard until the storm is over. Then focus on attacking Wagner. Overall Wagner is a strange fight, it's very easy but has an attack that can be a game changer.

Since the boss is a very small target, stunning it with Stun Bolt is very difficult due to its small size. Mid Boss: Axe Knight

    List of Attacks

    • Axe Swing
    • Jump Attack
    • Ground Smash (Smashes the ground ,causing a shockwave)
    Overview
The Axe Knight is perhaps the easiest mid boss in the game. It carries a very similar attack pattern as the Unicorn Knight or a Berserker. It doesn't have any range attacks, so attacking it from a distance is extremely safe. Just attack it from the rear, most of the Axe Knight's attacks are sluggish and easy to dodge.

    Mid Boss: King Ooze

    List of Attacks

    • Throw
    • Spike
    • Bouncing Ball
    • Multiply
    Overview
King Ooze is the mid boss that gives out the most amount of Phozons for defeating it. The boss isn't hard by itself, but as it sustain more damage, it will split into more slimes. Which will create so much chaos near the end of the battle. Use Stun Bolt if you want to stun the boss, and Whirling Blade for maximum efficiency. For other characters, try using your knockback and multi hit skills.
