2 Tyaps, 6+1 zuhiratos, tyap low on food?

  1. so I started the challenges on my own, since I did them only by guide on the net, and i just can't get enough food for tyaps, I have 6 zuhiratos (1 offspring), I have 97% equilibrium, but my 2 tyaps still dont have anything to eat? like why? i have enough vegetation, minerals and moisture, but the "meat" is still red, what should I do? am I missing something? like the core mechanism of how this works? zuhiratos are herbivorous, tyaps are carnivorous, they are higher species tier than zuhiratos... this should work, or?

  2. Clarification Request:
I must admit I haven't played ecolibrium myself yet, but after some research i came across a tutorial i didn't fully understand:

Creatures hunt the ones with a lower lvl then theirs, right?
Does this mean a lvl 3 can only hunt a lvl 2?
Or is it possible for a lvl 3 carnivore to hunt a lvl 1 herbivore?
(for example if there are no lvl 2 creatures currently present.)

Couldn't find any clear info on that specific.detail.
But if they can, I think the following calculation might be in order:

A Tyap has a hunting rate of 1 day and 6 hours.
The reproduction rate of a Zuhirato is 1 day, 10 hours,
Meaning there's an ever growing gap, adding 4 hours each cycle, between hunt and reproduction, eventually resulting in a shortage of food in the future.

Therefore it's likely that it doesn't matter how much Zuhirato you create,
the gap remains expending, creating the imbalance.

I think it should be done with a creature who reproduces within the 1 day, 6 hour cycle, in which case it can only be a lvl 1 creature..
Assuming they can hunt all weaker prey of course, otherwise i'm probably missing something too.

That's pretty much all i got, hope it helped somehow,
    Good luck ;)

  3. Additional Details:
    Hello,

I did figure this a long time ago - the creatures will eat all the lower creatures till they are there, but will prefer the ones with higher tier, also, when there's more units of same specie, the hunting time will go down, so theyll hunt more often, but also their reproduction time will go down, so you just need to have more lower tier creatures or balance things, therefore creating 1-2 more zuhiratos would work in my situation, or having ~3 zuhiratos total and 2-3 of another tier 2 specie
