"Gorgeous Graphics, Surreal Storyline, Ridiculous Replayability"

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics in Tomb Raider Legends are great, the places are realistic, and also very beautiful. Running around you will see good-looking water, beautiful trees, and also dirt and dust appearing. Explosions caused by grenades are also realistic. It also has beautiful lighting, and it keeps up a constant framerate with no lag. Compared to previous games, Lara now looks REAL, she has a smooth body, instead of it being triangle. Water reflects off of her skin as well.

Gameplay: 9/10

This is where the game shines, Lara is now capable of doing a variety of amazing somersaults, dives, and jumps, she can dive off enemies, grab their guns, mount turrets, and shoot down obstacles in her way. Lara now has a Manual Aim mode, which she can use to look around, shoot obstacles, or hit enemies in a variety of places. Apart from running around though. Lara is also able to mount a Bike at certain times in the game, as she chases trains, and guns down cars. However, the game is quite short.

Sound: 9/10

I love the music from this game, there are various tracks for the different levels, which go together well. The voice acting is very good, as is the sound. However, you are in contact all the time with Zip and Alister, and this ruins the isolation atmosphere that I felt the other Tomb Raider games had.

Replayability: 7/10

This is where the game flops, first playthrough, it should take about 6-7 hours, thats ALL. After that you can spend the rest of the game exploring Lara's House, collecting Trophies to unlock Costumes, Concept Art, and 3 Pistol Upgrades. There is a wide variety of costumes, but why do you need them? They don't offer any bonuses for wearing a particular costume, and have no effect on the game whatsoever, most of them are just the same but in a different colour anyway. The art you unlock is ok, but once you've seen it it's nothing special.

Overall: 8/10

The game is beautiful, sounds great, plays well, but WHERE'S the stuff to do at the end? When you have been on the same level a few times, hunting for the last few trophies, you automatically know what to do. You will realise that this game is too short, and that Zip and Alister should learn to shut up.

- Beautiful Levels
- Gorgeous looking Lara
- Fun for a while
- Witty lines from Zip and Alister

- No fun when finished
- Zip and Alister get annoying
