"The gates have opened."

This game is the real deal, possibly the most addicting and fun game I've played in the last few years. The basics of the game is you choose a race, you modify how your character looks (Which is VERY extensive, you can literally make your characters face look any way you want), and then head through the opening dungeon to decide how your character plays. But then after that the game really opens up, giving you 16 sq. miles of land to explore, thousands of quests, hundreds of dungeons, and more to explore and do.

Story: 10/10
The main story isn't very long, but it's pretty good. You're in jail for one reason or another, it never says, and it looks pretty bleak for you, until Emperor Uriel Septim pays a visit with his elite guards, the Blades, and they explain that assassins have come to kill the emperor. The escape route happens to be right through your cell, too, so it's your lucky day. You follow them and end up witnessing the emporers assassination, but just before he dies, the emperor gives you an amulet, and tells you to find his son and give it to him.

Graphics: 9/10
I'd give this a 10, but there ARE a few glitches graphic wise in the game, like some clipping and such, but overall the games graphics are AMAZING. Like the kind where you'd take a picture of how awesome it looks if you could. Some people HAVE said that there's some low res graphics far away, but I have a high def TV and can't notice it, so it must not be too noticeable. I should also note that spell affects are really amazing.

Music/Sound: 9/10
The music is honestly fairly forgettable, but the sounds are really, really done well. Swords clash realistically. Birds chirp in the distance. Rain falls on a lake. It's all done very well. The voices are grade A top notch, with some fairly high profile people lending their voices to characters as well, like Patrick Stewart of Star Trek fame. What is there music wise too is very grand and suits the scale of the game.

Gameplay: 10/10
Now THIS is how an RPG should play. Combat is fairly basic, you have an attack button, a block button, and a magic button, but the combat is real time and fairly exciting, as you can dodge arrows and spells, block axe hits, and deliver a blow to the head with your mace. Did I mention the physics yet? Everything swings and moves realisticly, and feels like it really has weight to it. The controls are very smooth and easy to use, as are the menus. You create how your character plays by picking 7 "major" skills, which is what your character will specialize in, from about 20 skills or so. There is alot of customization in this, because depending what you choose, you could have many different types of characters that play completely differently. The one thing I can say about this game though is that it can be extremely overwhelming at times, as there is SO much to do.

Replayability: 10/10
There's litteraly millions of character types you can play as, there's 5 guilds you can join, the Fighters Guild, the Mages Guild, the Thieves Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, and the Arena, and plenty of dungeons and quests. You could play this game for hundreds of hours and not get tired of it.

Buy or Rent?:
Buy, there is no way you'll be able to do even a forth of the stuff in this game in a week, though you might get a feel for how it plays.

Overall: 10/10
It has a few glitches, but they are extremely minor and almost not noticeable. The gameplay and graphics are amazing and should deffinatly be experienced.
