"Bethsada out does it self again."

While others may be long time Fallout fans. This was my first adventure into the post nuclear wasteland. If don't read this entire review just know that passing up this game is a huge mistake. Fallout 3 takes place in a post nuclear wasteland, where raiders run rampant, and it's a huge struggle to survive.

Story 7/10

The experience starts off with a bang but begins to lose it's thunder as you progress. You begin as a child growing up in Vault 101. Who out of unfortunate events manges to break outside looking for your father. It's hard to describe the story without spoiling it. Just know it's good but not great.

Graphics 6/10

The graphics are just fair. Animation is very stiff and blocky when in third person mode. The environment looks alright but nothing in comparison to such games as Bioshock or the new Gears ofWar 2. Which is understandable for such a huge game. The Characters seem to stare at you wide eyed and expressionless. It can get annoying but nothing to overlook the game for.

Sound 9/10

The music in this game is absolutely amazing. Walking by a jukebox and hearing 50's era swing dance music play never gets old. Of course the sound effects of the guns shooting or cars exploding is good to, but nothing breathtaking.

Gameplay 10/10

This is where Fallout truly shines. For those who played oblivion will feel right at home. Something I was worried about watching videos pre-release. Was that the gameplay would feel like they could not decide between FPS and RPG. This is completely not the case. With the inclusion of V.A.T.S. which allows you to stop time and pinpoint a specific body part to attack. Although you can only use this a for a couple of shots depending on your build. So you'll have to wait for it to recharge. So you can't just blow through the entire game blasting people in the head. I have not even began to explain the massive world. It can even be intimidating when first leaving the vault. There is so much to do here. Besides quest its fun to just go exploring. Be careful though because this game can be incredibly hard at earlier levels, but it just adds to the astounding replayability.

Replayability 10/10

It's absolutely endless. There is so much to do. If you manage to beat everything it could be a whole new experience to start up a new game playing as a evil character. If you get this game (which you should) the last thing you should be worrying about is if there is enough to keep you entertained

Final Recommendation

Buy this. Buy this Buy this. Unless you have impossible standards you will not be disappointed. Although if your not an RPG fan give this a rent, and decide for yourself. Because there is much more to do here than one rental time can handle.
