How can I save Anderson?

You have to make a paragon/renegade option in conversation the first two times you talk to the Illusive Man (on Mars and again on Thessia). Then, in that confrontation, you can convince him to kill himself (Paragon) or provoke him into attacking you instead (renegade), followed by the renegade interrupt of shooting him. Since the Illusive Man did not shoot him, this counts as "saving" Anderson when it comes to the ending.
However, as SkaterUB said, you cannot prevent his death entirely. Saving him from the Illusive Man allows you one last conversation with him: soldier to soldier, man to man, father-figure to son. Even so, he inevitably dies.

You have to either make the Illusive Man kill himself or press RT on the Renegade action when it shows on the screen. Now, if you're talking about AFTER you killed the Illusive man, you can't. That's meant to happen.
